I’m Ronnie Schoff, a professional Certified MTB Coach based in beautiful Truckee, California. With over 16 years of riding experience and a background in both mountain bike and dirt bike racing, I’ve turned my passion into a career helping others discover the joy of mountain biking.

Growing up in the Reno Tahoe area, I discovered my passion for two wheels early on. As a kid, I’d convince my Dad to shuttle me up Mt Rose (sorry, Dad!) so I could tear down those epic trails. That love for mountain biking never faded – it only grew stronger.

I’m proud to be one of only 17 ICP Level 3 Mountain Bike Instructors worldwide, and I’m Wilderness First Responder certified. Over my 13 year coaching career, I’ve logged more than 7000 hours teaching riders of all levels. 

Before launching Ronnie’s Battle Born Prodigies in 2018, I spent five years coaching at Northstar™ California.

Working with riders is my true calling – whether you’re just starting out or an experienced rider looking to shave seconds off your race times, I can help you.

I have a special passion for coaching youth riders, including those with special needs. Nothing beats seeing a young rider progress from their first time on a trail to confidently tackling black diamond trails.

When the snow falls, you’ll find me coaching snowboard – another sport I’ve competed in internationally. But no matter the season, one thing remains constant: our training ground is some of the most spectacular terrain you’ll ever ride. The Reno Tahoe area isn’t just my home – it’s a mountain biker’s paradise, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
