Our Kids Mountain Bike Coaching sessions are designed to build your child’s confidence and skills while keeping safety and fun at the forefront.
We meet each young rider at their current skill level and help them progress at their own pace, unlocking new abilities and adventures on two wheels.
The confidence gained on the trails often extends well beyond mountain biking, positively impacting other areas of their life.
Every session is led by certified professional instructors who make learning both engaging and rewarding.

Family MTB Coaching
Create unforgettable memories with our Family Mountain Bike Coaching sessions at Lake Tahoe. We tailor each session to your family’s unique dynamic, ensuring everyone progresses at their own pace while having a blast on the trails.
Our approach focuses on building skills steadily and safely, so every family member gains confidence and capability on their bike.
From selecting the perfect trails to teaching techniques that stick, we’ll guide your family through an exciting day of mountain biking that caters to all skill levels.
Sessions include one adult and one child, with space for up to three adults per group. Come experience Lake Tahoe’s finest trails as a family!

Please take a moment to review these essential safety guidelines before your session. This information is designed to ensure the safety and wellbeing of you or your child.
We do not provide bikes or equipment.
Mountain Bike
- Disc brakes & suspension recommended
- eMTB’s are welcome
- No coaster brakes, backpedal brakes or kickstands please
- Please do a quick bike check before the session (tire pressure, brakes work, chain is lubed & quick releases are tight)
- Please note that we do not provide bikes or equipment.
Protective Wear
- Helmet* (full face on Black Diamond Trails*)
- Full Finger Gloves*
- Knee Pads*
- Elbow Pads
- Eye protection; glasses or goggles
- Shoes (Closed-toed & flat soled. Skate shoes are better than sneakers)
- Chest/Back/Neck Protection is optional

Food & Water
- Water bottle/hydration pack & a snack
- Backpack with lunch for 4+ hr sessions
Medical
- Any emergency medications (inhaler, EpiPen® etc)
- A signed Asthma action plan (if applicable)
- A signed Allergy action plan (if applicable)
- A signed waiver
- Emergency Medical Info Cards are highly recommended for MTB riders
Weather Dependent
- Sunscreen (please pre-apply)
- Bug Repellent
- A layer of warm clothes
- A waterproof jacket
What should I bring on the ride?
Bring water, snacks, a spare tube and anything else you would usually take on a ride. I carry a small tool kit but it helps if you have your own. If you need any emergency medication; asthma inhaler, epi-pen etc please carry these with you!
Waiver policy
ALL RIDERS MUST SIGN A WAIVER. Mountain biking carries a level of risk to the rider. YOU ASSUME THE RISK while riding. Remember, even when riding with a coach, don’t ride anything you are unsure of without inspecting it first.
